Disney World 2014 Recap - Magic Kingdom (Friday - February 7, 2014)

Day 7 was our last day at Disney World. We chose to spend our last day at the Magic Kingdom. It was another cooler day with a light rain. We took the boat again and arrived around 9:15am. We decided to go meet Princess Merida first.

Next we had a FastPass+ for the Barnstormer. This ride had been closed for the first half of the week for refurbishments so this was the first day it was back open. The line was pretty long so it was a good thing we had the FastPass+. Joe and I took turns riding with Kylie. She loved it!

Since we were near the train station we decided to take the train over to Frontierland. It was around 11am by this time so we stopped in Pecos Bill Tall Tale Cafe for some lunch. I would eat there again. There is a ton of indoor seating which was nice since it was chilly and lightly raining that day.

After lunch we rode Pirates of the Caribbean. The line was a little long when we got there, but I was able to go on my phone and use the My Disney Experience app to change my FastPass+ options and I got us a FastPass+ instantly. It was really nice. I definitely recommend using the app. The ride was great. One of my favorites!

Then we walked over to the Enchanted Tiki Room and saw the singing birds. Alexis really enjoyed that one.

We had one more FastPass+ reservation for the day and it was for Jungle Cruise. So that was our last ride of the day and our last ride of the trip!

After our last ride we headed over to Liberty Square to meet Princess Tiana.

Now it was around 3pm so we did some souvenir shopping and told the Magic Kingdom goodbye until next time. We took the boat back to the Wilderness Lodge and hung out in the room for a bit. Then we had one last dinner reservation at the Whispering Canyon at 5pm that evening.

Kylie enjoyed the stick pony ride around the restaurant and the food was really good. They also sang happy birthday to Kylie which she loved. We really liked eating there and I can see us eating there again. Especially if we stay at the Wilderness Lodge again.

After dinner Kylie and I went to the gift shop for a bit and then headed back to the room to pack up for our long ride home the next morning. We were at the end of our amazing week at Disney World. It was full of fun and memories. We can't wait to go back again!

Disney World 2014 Recap - Epcot (Thursday - February 6, 2014)

On day 6 of our 2014 Disney World vacation we went to Epcot. It was a little cooler on this day with a light rain. We took the bus to Epcot and arrived shortly after 9am.

We decided to walk over to Test Track first and see what the wait was there. It was just a little too long for us so we headed over to Soarin' since we had a FastPass+ reservation for that one. Joe and I took turns riding with Kylie and she loved it. It was her favorite ride at Epcot. She has requested to ride it again next time! We also rode Living with the Land since it's in the same building at Soarin'.

Now it was around 11am so we decided to head over to the World Showcase and see how far we could walk around there before our lunch reservation. We went to Mexico first and rode the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. It's a really cute ride!

Next we walked over to China and had a snack. While we were eating we made a bird friend. The bird took food right out of our hands. We probably shouldn't feed the birds, but the girls loved it!

When we were finishing up our snack we saw Mulan come out to meet people. So we waited in line for her and Kylie met Mulan.

It was now getting close to our 1pm lunch reservation at the Coral Reef so we walked back over to Future World and to The Seas area for lunch.

The atmosphere at the Coral Reef is really nice. There are aquariums all around the dining area so you can watch the fish while you dine. There were scuba divers in the water too. The food was good. I really liked the dessert. I will probably try another restaurant the next time we go to Epcot though. There are just so many to choose from there!

After lunch we rode The Seas with Nemo and Friends. Of course it was another cute ride. We love Nemo!

Next we did Turtle Talk with Crush which is similar to Monster Inc Laugh Floor at the Magic Kingdom. Very funny and not to miss! Then we walked around the Sea Base area and looked at all the fish.

There was also a gift shop there so we picked up a few souvenirs. I got a zip up hoodie with the seagulls from Finding Nemo on it and the words "mine". Alexis picked out some Finding Nemo bath toys. She really didn't pick out a lot on this trip, but she was really happy in that store!

When we were done there we headed back over to the World Showcase and walked around through all the countries.

When we were done walking around the World Showcase we briefly walked through Innovations East and West. Then we went into Mouse Gear and did a little more shopping. By this time it was getting dark and we decided to go ahead and eat dinner there. We just stopped in the nearest restaurant which was The Electric Umbrella.

After dinner it was getting close to 7pm. We spent a very long day at Epcot! We took the bus back to our resort and we were done for the day! Next up is our last day in Disney. One last trip to the Magic Kingdom!

Disney World 2014 Recap - Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom (Wednesday - February 5, 2014)

On day 5 of our 2014 Disney World vacation we spent time at our resort and went back to Magic Kingdom later in the day.

We woke up around 8am and got dressed. I took a few pictures of our room view that day.

Then we headed down to The Roaring Fork around 10am for some breakfast. I got the chocolate chip mickey waffles and they were so yummy!

After breakfast Daddy and Alexis went back up to the room to try and get a little rest. Kylie and I walked around the resort and took some pictures and videos. The Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort. It is so peaceful with all the water features.

We walked down to the little beach area at the resort and Kylie played in the sand. She played for about an hour!

You can see the Contemporary Resort from the beach at The Wilderness Lodge. There is also a boat dock where you can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom.

After playing for a while, we headed back up to our room to get cleaned up and dressed for an afternoon and evening with princesses and fireworks!

We headed out around 1:45pm. We took the boat to the Magic Kingdom this time. It was a really nice ride.

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom shortly after 2pm and we headed straight to the castle where we had 2:35pm lunch reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table.

We checked in for dinner and we met Cinderella first. We decided to get a family picture with Cinderella since we didn't have too many pictures of us all together on this trip.

After meeting Cinderella we were taken up a twisty staircase to our seat. Once we were seated we were brought some appetizers. Alexis even got her very own appetizer of cheese and grapes which we thought was really nice considering she was only 2 and half at the time and not on our dining plan. She got her own magic wand and wishing star too!

The princesses starting coming by the table and we met Snow White, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine. Kylie really loved meeting all the princesses.

The food was really good. I had the chicken for my main course and the clock strikes twelve for dessert. It was so delicious!

This meal was one of our favorite meals of the trip. We hope to eat there again on our next trip too!

After dinner we rode Under the Sea. You get to sit in a clam shell and ride through the story of the little mermaid. It's a really cute ride and one of our favorites.

When we got off of the ride it started to rain. Actually it didn't just rain, it poured! We had to take cover for a few minutes, but it wasn't bad. It didn't last long and we were back out looking for our next thing to do! We were prepared with our ponchos and rain cover for the stroller just in case it rained some more.

Next we went to Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. This one is really funny. Great for kids and adults. Then we rode the Tomorrowland People Mover. It's a nice ride just to sit, relax and get off of your feet for a bit. After that one, Daddy and Kylie rode Tomorrowland Speedway while Alexis and I waited. Alexis took this time to catch up on some sleep!

When Daddy and Kylie returned from riding, we decided to have a snack while Alexis slept. Joe and I got smoothies and Kylie had a ice cream.

By this time it was starting to get dark. We walked around for a bit and then went over to the FastPass+ location for Wishes and waited for the show to start. Alexis woke up right when it was starting. We all watched the fireworks and everyone really liked them.

After the fireworks we had a FastPass+ for Rapunzel. Snow White was the visiting princess with Rapunzel so we met her for the second time that day. Kylie even told her we already saw her earlier!

Now it was getting close to 9pm. So we made our way out of the park. We took the boat back to our resort.

We made it back to The Wilderness Lodge just in time to see the nightly water pageant. It was our first night seeing it even though we could hear it every night from our room. Glad we got to see it once!

That was it for our second day at the Magic Kingdom. Next up is our day at Epcot!

Disney World 2014 Recap - Animal Kingdom (Tuesday - February 4, 2014)

On day 4 of our 2014 Disney World vacation we went to Animal Kingdom. It was another nice warm day. We arrived around 9:30am.

We had a FastPass+ reservation for Kilimanjaro Safari. It was a fun ride and we got to see tons of animals. The giraffes are my favorite.

Next we walked over to Dino Land and rode the Triceratops Spin. It's pretty much a ride like Dumbo.

Then we had a FastPass+ reservation for DINOSAUR. Kylie rode it with Daddy first since we weren't sure if she was going to want to ride it twice or not. Surprisingly she was okay to ride this one again with me! I'm not sure why this one didn't scare her as much as the Tower of Terror or Space Mountain, but it didn't. Maybe she was just extra brave that day. I don't think we will ride again the next time we go back though.

By this time it was getting close to lunch time so we just went to the nearest quick service restaurant which was Restaurantosaurus located in Dino Land. We were there right around 11am and it was pretty empty, but by the time we left the place was packed. I definitely recommend  early meals when possible to beat the crowds.

After lunch we had FastPass+ reservations for Finding Nemo the musical. This show was our favorite show at Animal Kingdom. We didn't get to see The Festival of the Lion King since at the time we were visiting they were in the process of moving that show from one location in the park to another. So for now Nemo is our favorite show there! We had really good seats and it was just really fun to watch.

Next we went to the Flights of Wonder bird show and watched that. Kylie really likes birds so she enjoyed that one.

When that show was over we really didn't have any other plans so we walked around for a little bit and did some shopping.

I thought these were really funny!
While we were shopping Alexis fell asleep in the stroller so we decided to pick a spot to sit down and waited for the 3:45pm Jungle Parade to start.

The Jungle Parade was really fun. It was actually the only parade we got to see on this trip. We somehow missed the ones at the Magic Kingdom. Chip and Dale were really funny. Chip walked up and gave Kylie a kiss on her hand and then rubbed his chin to Joe. It was his way of complimenting on Joe's beard.

Then one of the bear characters came up and leaned over Alexis sleeping in the stroller. It was so cute. Alexis had no idea. She slept through the entire parade!

When the parade was over it was a little after 4pm. We had 4:30pm dinner reservations at the Rainforest Cafe. Shortly after we got there Alexis woke up from her nap. She was a little cranky so I didn't get to enjoy this meal as much as I would have liked. I really liked the atmosphere there. We had been celebrating Kylie's 5th birthday while we were in Disney since her birthday was the very next week so at the end of dinner the workers at the restaurant sang happy birthday to her. It was really fun and she loved it!

We really liked eating there even though Alexis was not at her best. We may try to eat there again next time as well!

So after dinner it was getting close to 6pm. We headed to the bus stop and made our way back to our resort. It was a fun day spent at Animal Kingdom.

Next up is our second day at Magic Kingdom!
